Unlike the hundreds, if not thousands of websites out there claiming to help you with your health, this blog will focus on others, not just me and my own problems. Far too many "healers" focus on themselves and try to get others to relate, instead, I will focus articles around others to give you a more in-depth view of what some unique individuals have done to help with their own illnesses on a daily basis.

Dealing with Chronic Illnesses, My Interviews with Others:

A Mother's Interview - Me, My Kids & AUTISM

"Creating this interview really hit home for me. Owen, a child with autism is about my son's age and is the son of a dear friend whom I've known for years. Owen's mother, Liz has gone through many uphill battles dealing  with her son's condition while trying to balance life at home, a dream for better education and raising her two children on her own. "

A Painful Interview – A Focus on the Mental & Physical Pain!

"The interview you're about to read goes in depth into the realism of dealing with the physical and mental stresses of back pain. Not knowing where the pain comes from, the life of Renee can be described as; routine, structured, calculated and sometimes assisted, but her physical illness comes with many hidden surprises and twists from day to day."

  1. Hi Martin, firstly I just want to say how pleased I am to have accidently stumbled across your blog. I've had a look around and of course read your history. I think your attitude is great and is something I myself am slowly beggining to develop. (turning a negative into a positive in a way) Your illness is one close to my heart as although I don't know the exact details (I was very young at the time) my grandfather sadly passed away with a blod clot situation of some kind. The reason for my comment is of course with regards to a possible interview. I will just give you a quick heads up: I'm Hayley-Eszti Szucs, 20 years old from England. For the past year I have been living with an on going 'unknown' and undiagnosed chronic illness. It is becoming progressivly worse and over the past year I have been back and forth from hospitals countless times. I hope soon to find a doctor who can help to diagnose me as I think this will be a big turning point with progression and also knowledge of the condition and ways to live with it. I have recently started a blog particually targeted at young woman going through similar situations, but also for 'normal' youngsters too as I feel there is a huge lack of support and understanding within the late teens to twenty something category regarding certain health issues. (Just because I'm suddenly disabled doesn't mean I do not feel or desire those of a typical woman of my age) Like yourself, I want to put myself out there to not only talk and share with others but also to help educate to an extent. If you would like to know more about the symptoms of my illness or anything else for that matter my email address is hayleyeszti@gmail.com I have followed your blog and I really look forward to future posts. Keep doing what you are doing and take care.

    1. Heya Hayley,

You are truly an inspiration at the age of 20! I would love to do an interview with you. There are illnesses out there waiting to be discovered. When I was 20, doctors had no idea what was going on with me. Only recently have they understood the type of deficiencies I have. Keep pushing for an answer, only you can be your own savior and ambassador. Unfortunately we ultimately have to fight for our own answers, no one else is going to do it for us.

Something I would try in your case is rounding up all of the medical documents for your situation and sending the results to different specialists around the globe. It's a long shot, but you might find that one person who has seen these symptoms before and has an idea as to what might be happening to you. I will message you shortly, take care and keep your head up :)

      Martin
